East Surrey Choral Society

The Easter music from "Messiah" reflects the range of emotions surrounding Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. Handel takes us from the agony of Christ on the cross ("Behold the Lamb of God") and the spiteful crowd ("He trusted in God; let him deliver him") to the triumphant "Hallelujah" chorus and the majestic conclusion, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain. Amen." ESCS will be joined by young professional soloists from the Guildhall School of Music
